Chronic Disease Care: A piece of the picture


The Bureau of Health Information, NSW
This report provides information about two chronic conditions that affect patients in NSW: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and congestive heart failure (CHF).

It focuses on potentially avoidable admissions (PAAs) for COPD and CHF. PAAs are hospital admissions that could have been avoided either through disease prevention, or more timely or improved care processes.

33rd John Murtagh Annual Update Course for General Practitioners


Topic areas of the program for 2011 have been chosen from suggestions by past participants and will embrace a range of popular areas of such as dermatology, ophthalmology, neurology as well as mental health. Updates will also be provided on breast cancer, prostate disorders and clotting disorders among other things.
